New Page

I've been working on the first page to the fisherman story, but it just hasn't come out the way I'm wanting it to...So this morning I decided to take a break from that section is focus on this part of the story. This occurs right before the Ice ones from last week.

I've been thinking up a new first page for the title and to establish the grandfather and grandson angle. Arriuk is Inuit for killer whale and Auminal means God that lived in the ocean.

Werewhale Attack

I've been working on this double-page spread today. Getting there. Trying to find the right color palette for the Fishing Story. I think I'm going to go with muted blue/greens, and then a strong splash of bright yellow and a tiny bit of red.

Another little peak. Just getting jazzed about the project and have free time this weekend. gotta rework that first panel A LOT and none of what ive posted so far is finished. enjoy.

Started Painting

HLast week I got half-laid off at work. I'm down to part-time status now and in between redoing my design portfolio and sending off resumes and such, I now have loads of time to paint the comic. Here's 8 hours worth of painting. I'd say this page is about 80% done. I still need to finalize some areas, do clean-up. And I'm not sure if I like panel 2 right now. I may need to redraw the whole thing. (and add the group back in too)



EDIT: Here's the second page for this story. Needs a lot of work. I'm thinking of redrawing the whale...to show his legs and human form more. And I also want to repaint panel 3.
