Werewhale comic pages
Still working on the script a bit...but decided to sketch out some thumbs of the first 3 pages, just to make sure it looked/flowed okay...visually. So, just a loose break down of the script, panel by panel. In face, once I started sketching out pg 3, I realized that it may be better for the crew not to know it's a whale right away. Visually it's more dramatic, that we slowly see bits and pieces of the monster. Page 2, we get the tail underwater, then on page 3, the monster hits the boat, and we see it's tattooed fin, and giant eye. Then on page 4, once the creature climbs aboard, does the crew (and the reader) know what specifically the creature is and looks like.
I'm also thinking that instead of climbing aboard the boat on page 5 and getting shot by the harpoon, the WW emerges towards the end of the boat, and everyone slides into his open mouth. The captain manages to escape. And that's how it ends.
